About this Blog

Words through the Looking Glass of Food & Culture

food-copywriter-candyCopy & Coffee initially began as a blog on copywriting and internet marketing for the F&B industry, but it evolved into a blog of my adventures as a food copywriter instead. Simply because it was more fun this way.

As a food copywriter, I feel like I’m immersed in a Wonderland of sorts. There’s just so many stories to be told through the looking glass of food and culture.

It’s not just the aromas and flavours, but more so the interesting and passionate people I meet in the food industry. Over many cups of coffee, I have met myriads of characters and colours. Add to that my natural love for food, cooking, and an inherent fascination for stories, and that’s pretty much what this blog is about.

At the end of the day, it’s the personal experience that food means to each and every one of us. Food can unite, it can divide. It can bring back nostalgic memories. It can inspire. It is full of culture and history, but it can also be a blank slate for new experiences. It is in the heart of every home, and it has forged ties of friendship for centuries.

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope you enjoy exploring my Wonderland of words through the lens of food and culture.

Cheers,
Lisa
